How do I clean my natural stone countertops ?

This is one of the most frequently questions we receive from our clients who are wanting to get new countertops.

Here are some tips that will help you!

* Dish Soap!!!

Clean the countertop surface with a damp, nonabrasive cotton cloth and a mild, pH neutral liquid detergent or stone cleaner; rinse with clean water. Then dry the surface with a fresh cotton cloth.

* What do you have?

Dish soap and water will clean all countertops surfaces, but for special cleaners it is important to keep in mind what type of surface you have. There are four main types of natural stone surfaces that can be found in your counterspace.

1 - Granite

2 - Marble

3 - Quartzite

4 - Dolomite

Avoid acidic or abrasive cleaners!

Granite, Marble, Quartzite and Dolomite are all natural stones that come straight from mountains and quarries! Acidic and abrasive cleaners can strip the sealer from the stone and etch the surface on top.
